KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED: Three-legged Sootie still waiting for a nice home

Sooty is looking for a new home. We advertised him before Christmas but unfortunately he is still waiting.

He is a lovely two year old cat that has lost his front leg, possibly as a result of being hit by a car. This in no way inhibits him from being an energetic and playful companion.

He has quickly adapted to his three legs, and he is able to do all the things any other cat can do. He has been living for several weeks now in Acorn Vet Clinic in Johnstown Bridge Enfield, and is well used to meeting and befriending cats and dogs of all sizes.

If you think you could offer him a permanent home please contact Lizzy at Acorn Vets on 045 9549886.

Little Cottontail is a three month old rabbit who is looking for a forever home. He and his parents came into our care a while ago.

Cottontail

Before mom and dad found a permanent home, one of them attacked Cottontail and hurt him, so they couldn't stay together. Cottontail is now fully recovered.

His current foster home has several cats, dogs and many other animals, so he is very well socialised and likes belly rubs.

Cottontail has had his first vaccine and there is a €25 adoption fee to partly offset his vet costs.

Rabbits are quite easy to manage and are ideal pets for young children as they can learn so much about caring for these lovely animals.

If you already have a rabbit, Cottontail will make a great buddy. Rabbits thrive on hay, grass and leafy green vegetables.

They like exploring the garden and exercising.

If you are interested in adopting Cottontail, please call 086 1751841.
