Kildare Boy aged 8 climbs to peak of Carrauntoohil

Ben Finnerty (8) from Kingsbog Commons Kildare town climbed to the peak of Carrauntoohil on Saturday 24th September. Ben has completed the Spinc walk (9.5km 380m) in the Wicklow mountains more than once and was aiming for the highest point in Ireland after that! The climb took just over 3 hours to the summit and around 7 and a half hours overall. He did it all with a skip in his step and a smile on his face. His achievement is certainly noteworthy for a boy so young!
