Kildare court case involving suspected drugs haul sent forward for trial

A Kildare resident accused of harbouring suspected illegal drugs has had his case sent forward for trial.

Back in March of last year, Naas District Court was told that following a search on his home which was conducted by gardaí, one Jason Finn with an address listed as 912 Cherryville in County Kildare, was caught with the suspected drugs at his home on May 8, 2021.

Gardaí claimed that the 32-year-old allegedly stored €47,000 worth of suspected cocaine, in addition to €3,000 worth of suspected cannabis, in his home.

On the latest Naas Court date — Thursday, October 19 last — gardaí served a book of evidence on Mr Finn.

After the book was served, Judge Desmond Zaidan sent his case forward for trial to the present sittings of Naas Circuit Court.
