A woman told a Naas District Court judge that she was allegedly assaulted on Valentine's Day by her ex-partner.
Judge Desmond Zaidan heard the allegations during a protection order application which took place on Thursday, February 22 last.
The woman explained that she and her ex-partner have children together, and that she recently moved out of their former home.
She alleged to Judge Zaidan that he assaulted on Valentine's Day just gone, and that he also threatened 'to get a drug dealer to intimidate her.'
The woman further alleged: "A few days later, he threatened to burn me out of my home, and he has been hanging around my place of work too."
Judge Zaidan agreed to grant an interim protection order for the woman until the case resumes on a date in March for hearing.
He also advised the woman that if she any immediate concerns, she should contact her local garda station.
