There has been a call for town residential areas to be linked with a pedestrian crossing in Naas.
It has come from Cllr Bill Clear who wants Kildare County Council to put the crossing across a section of the ring road which links Kilcullen Road and Newbridge Road.
He’s asked KCC to “investigate the feasibility of placing an appropriate pedestrian crossing from Castle Farm estate to Elsmore estate.”
He believes it is needed because “a significant number of people cross at this busy point to walk and cycle to school or into town.”
