Kildare gardaí stop driver speeding at 119km/h while under the influence of cocaine

An Garda Síochána in County Kildare stopped a driver speeding at 119 kilometres per hour while under the influence of cocaine.

The official Garda Traffic account on Twitter said: "The Naas Roads Policing Unit carried out speed checks on the Millennium Road recently when they stopped this car found speeding at 119kph.

"The driver was an unaccompanied Learner driver, who proceeded to tested positive for cocaine.

The account added: "They were arrested and their car was seized, and court will follow."
