KILDARE: Green light for new guesthouse in Kildare village

A new guesthouse has been approved by Kildare County Council.
A planning application for the facility in Sallins was submitted the Council on July 17 by Castlewood Taverns Limited.
Being planned was the demolition of an existing two storey dormer rear extension to existing two terraced buildings on the Main Street.
The buildings are currently used as a ground floor hairdressing salon, a ground floor and first floor residential unit, a ground floor bookmakers and a first floor office.
Developers want to construct a two storey rear extension to the existing two storey terraced building, according to construction industry database, Construction Information Services.
Planning documents proposed the change of use of the amalgamated two buildings into a guest house.
