Kildare man armed himself with knives and threatened gardaí - claim
A man who allegedly “armed himself with two large knives and threatened gardaí appeared at Naas District Court.
Scott Robinson, 22, whose address was given as 17 Central Park Avenue, Clane, is being prosecuted for a threat to kill or cause serious harm, contrary to Section 5 of Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.
Sgt Dave Hanrahan said a number of gardaí from Clane attended a house and were subjected to “several threats to kill.”
The defendant was sent forward for trial to the sittings of Naas Circuit Court starting. Judge Desmond Zaidan said if an alibi forms any part of his defence he must inform the Director of Public Prosecutions or gardaí in advance. The judge also granted free legal aid.
