KILDARE: New building for the Celbridge Men's and Women's Shed Project proposed

A new building is being sought for the Celbridge Men's and Women's Shed Project.

Planning permission documents lodged with Kildare County Council show that The Acre Project CLG intends to construct a property at the Acre Project, Salesian College in Celbridge.

Specifically, the proposed development would consist of the construction of a detached new single-storey pitched roof timber cabin structure with small store and front porch for use by the Celbridge Men's & Women's Shed Project, for multifunctional crafts, hobby, book club, and social meetings (less than 40 people).

Permission is also being sought for associated uses and to include minor associated works and amendments as necessary to site boundaries, landscaping etc.

The date received is listed as August 17, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as September 20 and October 11 respectively.

According to its website, The Acre Project 'fosters an eco-focussed community through environmental education, horticulture and the provision of facilities for community activities.'
