KILDARE: No parking spaces will be available at new public amenity in Naas

No parking spaces will be available to members of the public visiting the De Burgh gardens.
The gardens, located off Sallins Road, Naas, are to open to the public at some point in the future.
However a Naas Municipal District meeting was told that it will not be possible to provide parking facilities.
Nevertheless some limited parking will be provided within the grounds of the nearby Millbank Cottage for those with physical disability issues.
Cllr Fintan Brett said that when the garden open it will be necessary for signs to be erected advertising the fact that no parking is available, apart from these spaces.
He said that this is because the amenity is likely to attract many people,
Some 15 acres of the land, which include water features and walkways are effectively in public ownership but a section of the lands are currently privately owned.
The opening of the gardens to the public is one of the longest awaited projects in Naas.
