Kildare residents fear crime spree after being told to 'f**k off' by stranger in estate

Concern has been on the rise in a Kildare estate after a masked man emerged from a car
Residents living in a Kildare housing estate are fearing a crime spree may take place after being told to “f**k off” by a stranger where they live.
Three masked men were sat in a car while another walked around the Connell Drive estate.
In a post on Facebook in the Newbridge, Co Kildare Residents Community Forum, a woman said the car had no tax, insurance, or NCT disc, and was using a cloned registration.
The men were “spotted to be, what looked liked, scouting houses in Connell Drive at 1.40ish in the afternoon on Friday, July 31.
“We did shout at them to see what they were doing - to be responded with “eh gardening” and to be told to “eff off” and clearly disturbed them as the car drove off straight away and the man on foot went running,” the post says.
The woman says she reported the incident to gardaí.

Others in the Comment section of the post also felt that the men were scouting houses to see which ones they could target for burglaries.
One person said the “neighbours must look out for each other now.”
The car in question appears to be a BMW 3 Series that is also listed for sale online.
Several others in the group questioned whether they saw the same man in Templeogue, as he looked similar to one who got out of the same car in other areas.
Suggestions were made to create a Neighbourhood Watch style WhatsApp group, where residents can alert each other and confront culprits together if they wished.
