'My ex-husband pretty much raped me with a child on the other bed' Kildare court told
The woman said he comes and goes from the estate and she and the kids are uncomfortable
A woman stated that her former husband had “pretty much” raped her.
She came to Naas District Court seeking protection and alleged he had sexually assaulted her. When asked by Judge Desmond Zaidan if her had raped her she alleged that what happened was pretty much rape - and a child was on the other bed which it took place.
The former couple have children and one has special education needs.
She said he was driving up and down in the area where they live, where the previous marital home is located.
She said she awaiting word from the Director of Public Prosecutions about how the alleged rape or sexual assault case will proceed.
She said even though he had left the home a year earlier, “he is coming and going from the estate.”
The woman further claimed that she and the children are uncomfortable.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection and adjourned the matter to June 22. He directed that the order should be served on the man by the gardaí.
