No plans for traffic lights at County Kildare bridge

There are no plans to provide traffic lights at a bridge in Leixlip.

Cllr Bernard Caldwell said these were needed on the bridge at Kellystown Lane

However, this was turned down by Kildare County Council.

Engineer Donal Hodgins said that due to the difficulty in controlling, operating and maintaining signal controlled one-way shuttle systems, there are no plans to install traffic lights there.
