Protection order granted for Kildare man in fear of his ex-girlfriend

A protection order was granted for a man who claimed his ex-girlfriend was harassing him.

Judge Michele Finan granted the order to the male applicant on Thursday, February 2, at Naas District Court, during an in-camera (in private) court session.

The man told the judge that his ex-girlfriend had threatened to break into his home, which put him in fear.

He added: "My current girlfriend won’t even come to my house because she is so scared over this."

After reading a detailed letter written by the man, Judge Finan granted the protection order for him, and also ordered gardaí to serve the order on his ex-girlfriend.
