Race at this weekend's Curragh Festival will see each horse paired with a bar in Kildare

The High Spirits & Food Festival will take place this Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th September at the Curragh Racecourse.

This brand-new festival will run alongside a packed programme of racing with feature races including the Goffs Million and Group 2 Alan Smurfit Memorial Beresford Stakes on Saturday and “Friends of the Curragh” Irish Cesarewitch , Group 3 Weld Park Stakes and Group 3 Westgrove Hotel Renaissance Stakes on Sunday.

The weekend will provide a real feast for the senses by combining the thrill of racing with a superb culinary experience. An exciting addition to racegoers to enjoy over both days.

Sunday’s highlight the ‘Friends of the Curragh Irish Cesarewitch’ sees each racehorse paired up with a bar from the county who in turn partner up with a local charity or sports club.

The first five horses past the finishing line win money for their partner bar and charity.
