There is 'chaos' at town centre car park in Kildare

A picture has been painted of chaotic scenes at a car park in Naas - and Kildare County Council has been asked to act.

KCC has been asked to investigate a breach of parking laws at the New Row/Newbridge Road car park, by Cllr Anne Breen.

She’s asked it to “tackle double parking, obstructive parking, traffic management and overall maintenance. “

Cllr Breen wants clear and prominent signage identifying the parking bays as well as areas where parking is prohibited along with yellow lines markings (where parking would obstruct access or the free movement of traffic).

She wants the existing white lines on parking bays “refreshed” and there should be more surveillance of the area by traffic wardens.
