25th Kildangan Scout Group

---

25th Kildangan Scouts have been thriving in Kildangan village, Co Kildare since they opened their doors to over 100 children in September 2013. They have grown and thrived as a fantastic volunteer group within the community, offering children the opportunity to develop their skills and talents using the Scout Method through outdoor adventures. As they head into their 10th year of scouting in the community, the Scout Group is struggling to recruit new adult leaders to help run their weekly Scouting program and to accommodate additional children on a long waiting list. With adult/child ratio's in place, they need to limit the number of children that can join the group presently.

Liam Kelly-Kenny (Group Leader) confirmed "we would not be open today if it was not for the wonderful and ambitious adult volunteers within the group, who dedicate their time to providing a fun and adventurous program to our youth members. We are seeking additional adult volunteers to join our Scout Group within all sections and with the hope of increasing numbers, allowing us to accommodate all children who want to begin their scouting journey".

Kildangan Scouts offer the Scouting program for children ages 6-18 years old. When they are not out venturing, hiking or kayaking, the group meet in the local parish hall in Kildangan. Unfortunately, with limited space there (both indoor and outdoor), this limits their ability onsite for outdoor camping, but they do hope to source a more longer-term solution around the village or local area.

With their 10th Year Anniversary approaching, there is no better time to join this fun and dynamic group at 25th Kildangan Scouts. There are varied adult volunteer roles available, so join, have fun and adventure, all while giving back to your community. Start your own Scouting journey now. You'll love it, we promise!
