This weekend, model and "Dancing With the Stars" competitor Alannah Beirne (24), and her Estonian professional dancing partner Vitali Kozmin visited several well-known places in Naas including Grace’s Pub and Jennie Brady’s Dance School, to the delight of some young fans.
On Friday the duo did some training at Dancestar Studios and then in the evening they paid a visit to Grace’s Pub where Alannah previously worked while also studying visual merchandising and display at DIT, and they enjoyed a rare quiet drink in the swanky pub.

Speaking to KildareNow this weekend, Alannah said that it was a nice feeling to visit her familiar haunts in the town. She said: “It’s lovely to be back in Naas, I wanted to show Vitali around, too. We’ve gotten a warm welcome. We’ve both been training since early today at Kildare Dance Studio, we’re still working hard for this week’s performance.”
Alannah and Vitali are gearing up for week 4 of "Dancing With the Stars", and this week it’s “Movie Night”, where the competitors can choose a song to dance to from a film.
So what’s on the agenda this week for Alannah and Vitali after their show-stopping Charleston last weekend? “This week is Movie Week so we’ve decided to do ‘La La Land’,” Alannah said.
The critically acclaimed musical “La La Land” stars Hollywood A-Listers Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, and their famous dance will have no doubt inspired Alannah and Vitali this week. Vitali added: “It’s a slower tune and tempo compared with last week. For me Alannah has been very hard working, she’s great to work with.”
As the competition starts to heat up, Alannah and Vitali are leading the score-board after scoring 26 points last weekend.
The former Britain’s Next Top Model finalist gave a stellar and enthusiastic performance last Sunday, scoring an impressive 26 points when combined with the votes from the judges and viewers at home, which follows on from their fantastic first performance the week before as Alannah and Vitali also scored top marks for their classic waltz.
Last week the duo decided to spice things up a bit in their routine by choosing to do the notoriously difficult but classical Charleston dance, a popular dance in the 1920s era, which involved kicking up their heels in perfect synchronization on the night and doing spectacular twists and turns.
Both Alannah and Vital looked as though they’d truly taken inspiration from the style of the 1920s, with Alannah looking incredible in a silk strap dress and headband, while Vitali looked dashing in a striped black short-sleeved suit.
However, the duo aren’t put off at all by their fellow competitors as they enter week 4 of the competition. Vitali explained: “I’m not as competitive as I’m portrayed on tv, but I do want to give the best performance that I can each week and to help Alannah and to make her look good, too.”
Meanwhile, Alannah added: “He told me to forget about everything, forget about work and everything, to just focus on the dancing.” The duo certainly work flawlessly together and they even gave a sneak preview to several classes at Jennie Brady’s dance school in Naas, where Alannah used to go for dance lessons when she was younger, and the performance went down a treat with the young fans who had hand-made posters and banners voicing their support for Alannah and Vitali.
