AIB Leinster Club Intermediate Football Championship Final 2023

Allenwood 4-12

Scoil Ui Chonaill 3-5

Allenwood are Leinster Club Intermediate Champions after an outstanding display and victory over Dublin side Scoil Ui Chonaill.

Following a first half of utter chaos, Allenwood dominated the second to secure a historic win, outscoring their opponents 1-7 to 1-1 after the restart.

The first was far from one way traffic as Allenwood conceded the opening goal of the game only to equalise less than a minute later through Eoin Bagnall on a swift counter-attack.

They would concede a goal and a penalty (that was missed) in a first half spell that would have left a lot of the travelling fans concerned about this game.

But the Kildare side bounced back and got first half goals through Arron Dunne and Mark Delaney, who found the net just 40 seconds after entering the field, to enter the break with a four-point lead, that they would convert into a Leinster Championship title win.

What a win and what a team. Congratulations to Allenwood!
