Tonight is about rewarding those of you who contributed to the life of the school during the 2022-23 school year. At St Paul’s we believe in rewarding students for their application to their studies and for striving to academic excellence.
We believe that through sporting successes and endeavours, students develop the critical skills of communication, teamwork and that their personal development in these areas should be acknowledged. Through volunteering or getting involved, students enrich the life of our school, you act as role models for others and you deserve the recognition for your
commitment.
Each of you getting awards tonight are living St Paul’s Mission Statement. You have aspired, you have achieved, you have believed and ultimately you have succeeded. You did this together with the support of your parents, families, fellow students and the staff of St Paul’s. We are all very proud of your achievements. Thank you for your hard work, your commitment to St Paul’s and for your continued help in driving this wonderful school forward.
I sincerely wish to thank the committed teaching staff, ancillary staff and volunteer staff of St Paul’s who give an incredible amount of themselves and their time in affording our students so many opportunities. Your limitless energy, enthusiasm and involvement makes a huge difference to these young people’s experience of school and indeed to their own lives. On behalf of
myself, the students, their families, the Board of Management, thank you so much.
Finally, I wish to sincerely thank you the parents and families of our students. Your child would not be here tonight without your love and support. I am sure your children appreciate greatly the sacrifices you have made for them. I hope that tonight makes the time you have spent on sidelines or at performances, the money you have spent on clothes, gear and courses and the emotional support and love you invest in them somewhat worth it. Their awards tonight would not be possible without you.
