The new service is now live at three Maxol stores within Ireland

Good news for food enthusiasts in County Kildare, as retailer Maxol has announced a brand-new online delivery service.

The service, which is available on the food app Just Eat, has gone live in three Maxol branches in Ireland: Newbridge in Kildare, Ardbrae in Wicklow and the business' Long Mile Road store in Dublin.

According to Maxol, the service, which was developed in partnership with international food-tech company Noahs, marks the first phase of a planned national rollout to over 60 locations.

Furthermore, the business has assured the public that more home delivery options with Uber Eats and Deliveroo will be available soon.

'MEETING CUSTOMER'S NEEDS'

Brian Donaldson, the CEO of Maxol, was among those who welcomed the newly launched service.

He asserted that by expanding the business' new service allows Maxol 'to extend its food proposition beyond breakfast and lunch, giving customers in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare access to high-quality, cooked-to-order meals delivered straight to their door from their local Maxol service station'.

Mr Donaldson further said: "We’re now bringing that added value straight to their door not only with a selection of really tasty meal options such as pizza and burritos, but also a wide range of grocery and confectionery items in one simple, seamless online experience."

In addition, Daniel Baven, the CEO and co-founder of Noahs, had this to say about the new service: "It's a model that's already working at scale across Europe, and I'm confident that Maxol customers across Ireland are going to love it."

Moreover, to coincide with the new service, Maxol has also decided to extend the opening hours of its in-store Maxol Delis beyond the traditional 3pm close to 10pm.
