Female cyclist miraculously escapes serious injury as her bike is crushed by truck

A female cyclist in Dublin somehow managed to escape without sustaining any serious injuries when her bicycle was crushed by an oncoming truck during rush hour traffic.

The incident occurred near Stephens Green at around 8am yesterday morning during a very busy period for traffic as the 28-year-old collided with the vehicle.

The Independent.ie report that the woman received only minor injuries to her head and arms, and she was taken to St James' Hospital for assessment shortly after the incident.

The Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted the image of the crumpled bicycle yesterday evening, and also warned motorists to be mindful of cyclists during the sunny weather.
