Gardaí appeal for witnesses to serious assault of a man in north Dublin early this morning

A man has died following a serious assault in the early hours of this morning in north Dublin.

He was attended to by Medical Personnel but was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased male, believed to be in his 30s, remains at the scene.

The scene at North Street is preserved for an examination. The road has been closed from the junction of North Street/Seatown Road to North Street/Entrance to Carnegie Court Apartments.

Gardaí confirmed that the assault occurred at around 3am in the Swords area between Seatown Road and Watery Lane. Gardaí have asked for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time to come forward with information in relation to the incident.
