‘The Elms’ of Punchestown  are hosting their annual Festive Weekend tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.

The ‘Festive Weekend’ is the annual event that launches ‘The Elms’ Christmas emporium, with customers traveling from all four corners of Ireland to be the first to buy their unique products.  

The event will offer the best of decorations, giftware, home-ware, lighting, furniture and interiors, sourced from all around the globe and here in Ireland too.

Something for everyone:

Throughout the weekend there will be music, food sampling, kids Christmas movies, lucky dips, product discounts and much more!

Tomorrow, the Fair runs from 9am to 7pm; on Saturday, from 9am to 6pm and on Sunday, from 11am to 6pm.

Festive Weekend ‘Pre-launch Party’ 

This evening, The Elms will be launching their ‘Festive Weekend’ with an exhibition by the seven contestants from RTÉ One‘s hit TV show Painting the Nation.

‘In Our Own Time’ is an eclectic collection of artworks from the talented septet. There will be music by the popular John Forde (The Piano Man) with his fabulous repertoire of Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Billy Joel, etc

Paint The Nation:

Painting the Nation is a brand-new series for RTÉ One which tests the talents of some of the very best amateur painters in the country.

Following a national call-out earlier in the year, seven amateur artists were selected from hundreds of hopefuls from across Ireland to vie for the honour of having a painting chosen by the Office of Public Works for the national art collection. Their challenge is to impress the judges – professional artists Una Sealy and Gabhann Dunne - as they capture some of Ireland’s most iconic people, places and traditions on canvas.
