Hazardous crossroads is the scene of many accidents

It should be made safer

A call has been made for a dangerous crossroads near Naas to be upgraded.

Cllr Fintan Brett said the four roads crossroads at Kilteel has been the scene of numerous crashes.

He acknowledged that work has been done there in the past but “there continue to be accidents.” He said he fears that a fatal accident will take place there and a solution is needed.

Engineer David Reel told a Naas Municipal District meeting that signs and road markings have been provided but he accepted that “there is poor visibility.”

According to Kildare County Council funding is not currently available for improvements but these may take place in the future.
