Honeymooner lost four teeth and spent holiday on crutches after pub attack

A man spent his honeymoon with a bruised face and swollen mouth after he was kicked in the face during a pub assault.
New Zealand native Craig Lonsdale had attended a football match in Dublin's Croke Park and was having drinks with his new wife's family when the attack took place.
He told a court he was concussed, lost four teeth and spent a night in hospital following the assault.
Mr Lonsdale was also on crutches for the rest of his honeymoon after he tripped and hurt his ankle during the incident.
His attacker, fisherman Mark Bailey (26), had claimed he lifted his foot in self-defence because he thought Mr Lonsdale was going to "rugby tackle" him.
Judge Dermot Dempsey said Bailey had perpetuated a "vicious attack" on Mr Lonsdale and sentenced him to nine months in prison. Bailey, of Mourne View in Skerries, was found guilty of seriously assaulting Mr Lonsdale at Ollie's Place in Skerries on June 30, 2013.
