A large house that appears to have a contentious recent past is up for auction at a bargain price.

The four bedroom detached bungalow is in Lowran, Pike of Rushall in south Laois.

It appears that not everybody wants the house to be sold.

The photos by the auctioneer show that someone has painted in big red letters ‘not for sale’ on the boarded up windows and walls, and ‘danger’ and ‘keep out’ either side of the front door.
