If you want Kildare Fire Service - don't message them on Facebook! Ring 999.

Kildare Fire Service has revealed that it cannot respond to a fire if people message them on social media or drop into the stations in Newbridge, Naas, Athy, Maynooth, Monasterevin and Leixlip.
Fire fighters can only respond to a fire if they get a official emergency call through the 999 system.
A Fire Service spokesperson said: "You must call 999/112 for the Fire Service to attend to an incident.
"This might seem somewhat a silly post but we get a number of phone calls to our stations, people calling down to the station and also through our social media channels.
"If you come across an incident that requires the fire service, dial 999 immediately.
"We can only be dispatched through our control, Emergency Response Control Centre.
"Stay safe over the weekend."
