Indoor Bowls' exciting Rathcoffey tournament

The Rathcoffey tournament came to its conclusion on Sunday August 27 in the spacious Rathcoffey GAA Hall, featuring the semi-finals and the finals in both the Cup and Shield.

After a wonderful week of bowling with so many games going right down to the final end to decide a result, and also a few shocks along the way to make it an exciting event.

The Cup semi-finals was a battle between Caragh 2 v Balyna and Caragh 3 v Rathcoffey with both Caragh teams victorious.

The Shield semi-finals was contested between Allenwood v Ryston and Hollywood v Naas.

With Allenwood proving the masters in this one against Ryston, while Naas defeated a highly fancied Hollywood team.

Cup Final

Caragh 2 v Caragh 3 with Caragh 2 emerging with a victory on a score line of 15 shots to 10.

Shield Final: Allenwood defeated Naas by a margin of 16 shots to 10.

Great credit to the Rathcoffey club and all involved, too numerous to mention names, for a well organised and run tournament.

Thanks also to the Rathcoffey GAA for the use of their wonderful facilities. And of course to all the clubs that took part to make it a wonderful and successful occasion.
