Kilcock Park and Ride service to be completed by mid-September this year

The new park and ride facility in Kilcock will be completed by mid-September, which will allow space for up to 100 vehicles in an area where people will have access to key transport links.
The facility is aimed to help alleviate potential traffic problems in the town, and it will be located close to the Lidl store in Kilcock, which comes as a major boost for commuters.
Kildare North TD Frank O’Rourke confirmed that the facility will be completed in the next two months. “This facility, which is close to the town centre and public transport facilities, is a priority for all concerned. The response from the McGarrell Reilly Group and Kildare County Council was very positive and as a result Kilcock will now have its Park and Ride completed by mid September which is extremely positive news. “We continue to make progress on improving the public transport services for Kilcock commuters; with extra services for Route 115, a fairer rail fare structure for Kilcock which is now included in the short hop zone, and now a Park and Ride facility in Kilcock.
“I have been informed recently that the core Bus Eireann frequency on Route 115 to/from Kilcock will increase to every 30mins throughout the day, from September 3rd next. We have seen the numbers using public transport from Kilcock increasing in recent years and we need to increase the capacity to cater for the increased demand. I am delighted that we are making progress and I will continue to press for further improvements,” concluded Deputy O’Rourke.
