KILDARE: An Nuadha Players’ Auditions for Panto 2023

As the summer draws to a close, An Nuadha Players are preparing for their Winter pantomime, Sinbad.
The show is scripted by Martin Higgins, who has written every An Nuadha Players panto since their first in 2000.
Martin has been a professional scriptwriter for three decades and has penned pantos for the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin and the Everyman in Cork over a twenty year period.
The other members of the production team are award winning choreographer, Grace McGrath, musical director Colin Sloan and director Ann Kelly, who all have a long association with the group.
Acting and singing auditions for principal roles in Sinbad, will take place on Tuesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 31 at 7.30pm in Maynooth Community Space, which is located close to the Range in Maynooth.
Auditions for core dancers are on Tuesday, September 5 at 7.30pm also in Maynooth Community Space.
You must be in secondary school or upwards to audition for a principal role, the core dancers, or to be part of the main chorus.
Organisers said: "Those of you who may not (yet) feel confident enough to audition for a principal role, but would like to join the chorus, are welcome to come to our first rehearsal. The date will be confirmed at a later stage."
"The group welcomes new members not only for onstage parts, but for set and costume design as well as back stage.
"Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays (full cast for singing & dancing), Thursdays (principals) and Sundays (October 15 and all Sundays in November), with dance rehearsals for core dancers on Saturdays.
"Please ensure you can commit to the above prior to registering your interest to audition or join the chorus.
The organisers concluded: "If you're interested in auditioning and can't make the above dates, you can email the group at [email protected]."
Sinbad will run in the Aula Maxima, St Patrick’s College in Maynooth from November 30 to December 3.
