KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED: Can you offer good-natured Silver a nice home

KWWSPCA COLUMN
Silver, came into our care in December after he was knocked down by a car and taken to the vets for treatment.
He broke his femur and dislocated his elbow and was in the vets for a couple of weeks after having surgery to repair the damage.
A family kindly fostered him while he recovered from his injuries, but due to their upcoming holidays we are looking for either another foster home or a forever home for this friendly dog.
Silver is about four and is a medium sized spaniel cross. His absolute favourite thing to do is cuddling on the couch.
He loves being inside and part of family life.
He is house-trained, crate trained, and he gets on very well with other dogs. He is good with children, good natured and walks well on a lead.
His foster family can’t say enough good things about him. If you could offer a foster or forever home to Silver, please call or text 087 9133923.
Wildlife rescue
Roscommon SPCA rescued a short-eared Owl with a gunshot wound in her wing last week. Earlier in January they found an injured buzzard on the side of the road.
Both birds were brought to Kildare Wildlife Rescue in Kildare town and they are recovering well. We are so lucky to have Kildare Wildlife Service to look after these wild animals. They deal with cases from all over the country and are brilliant at their work.
Cottontail
The rabbit that we featured in last week’s article has found a new home.
Noah's ark
Our Noah’s Ark February online auction is up and running. This Facebook auction is always popular and full of interesting items at great prices. It is a fun way to support our charity. (Kwwspca – shop Noah’s Ark on Fb).
