The KWWSPCA annual Wag and Bone Dog Show takes place tomorrow, Sunday, September 10 in the parade ring at Punchestown Racecourse.

The event starts at 1pm with the judging beginning at 2pm. There is plenty of free parking.

“We have fifteen different judging classes from Waggiest Tail to Veteran dogs. Also we will have the popular High Jump and an easy agility course where the emphasis is on fun,” said the organisers.

“Light refreshments will be available. This is always a great day out for dogs and their owners, with lots of winning rosettes by the end of the day.

“Our very busy Kitty Cottage is looking for new volunteers. Shelter volunteers need to be over eighteen and be able to commit to a shift of three hours, once a week. You will be giving care to the kittens at Kitty Cottage with other volunteers, and will receive full training. We work on a rota basis so you will have the same shift every week.”

The KWWSPCA shelter is also looking for kitten foster mothers.

“This can be done in your own home and ranges from two to eight weeks, depending on the age of the kittens coming in to us. Full training will be provided. You must be over eighteen and have a spare room to keep the kittens away from other animals you may have in your home. Please text Elaine on 089 4588162 if you would like more information,” added the spokesperson.
