A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council for the proposed extension to St Brigid's Church Cemetery in Milltown.
The proposals include the part demolition of the existing rear boundary wall.
The planned changes will enable access and the construction of internal access pathways and a columbarium wall.
Planners will consider the plans before making a decision on whether to grant planning permission.
