Kildare Co Council planning Brexit supports for local businesses

Kildare Co Council said it is preparing a range of financial and advisory supports for businesses challenged with future Brexit decisions.

The measures will be available to businesses currently exporting directly to Northern Ireland or the UK. 

Businesses who have business suppliers in the UK will also qualify as will a Kildare firm which has customers who are exporting to Northern Ireland or the UK

The supports will also be available to business trading domestically or into other EU countries where their main competitor is UK based.

An Export Grant worth €2,500 has also been launched by the Council.

A programme aimed to assist business find alternative markets in the wake of Brexit has been launched, this allows businesses travel and attend trade shows and meetings across the globe.
