Family members were also invited and flowers were presented to the partners as a token of appreciation for their spouses time in the fire service.

Kildare Fire Service said: "We would like to once again thank the previous members of the Leixlip and Maynooth crews for their time and effort whilst part of the team. They were valued members that gave a lot to both the fire service and to their communities, and we wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavors."
