Kildare fish facility to be turned into new gym

Kildare County Council has granted planning permission for a new gym.

Approval was given for the change of use of a existing building in Maynooth from use as a reception building for a catch and release fisheries facility at Maynooth Fisheries, Mariavilla, Dunboyne Road.

The building will be extended with a low profile lean-to type structure to provide male and female changing rooms with toilet and shower facilities.

Also in the plans is an entrance hall, fitness room and reception area.

The designs include surface parking for 52 vehicles and two mobility impaired parking bays and a covered bicycle shelter with a capacity for six bicycles.
