As part of the Bank Holiday Road Safety Campaign, Naas Roads Policing Unit operated several checkpoints across Kildare on Saturday.

Gardaí in the Leixlip District seized three vehicles in the Kilcock area.

The vehicles were seized for no insurance, no tax for six months and no Certificate of Road Worthiness for two years.

One driver was an unaccompanied Learner with N-Plates.

Fines were issued for all offences.

There will be a court appearance for having no insurance and no Certificate of Roadworthiness.
