The Spring season is the busiest time of the year in the Irish National Stud and Gardens and with the newly born foals now out in the paddocks with their mothers the well known tourist venue is about to unveil one of its most loved family attractions, its brand new fairy trail and village.

The completely revamped fairy trail, which reopens from next Friday, is almost 1km long and contains a specially crafted village with 12 custom made miniature cottages as well as 20 further doors which lead into underground homes and tree houses which in total will be the home for 32 fairy families.

The Irish National Stud’s Tourism Manager David Wardell said “We’re so excited by this new addition which is easily one of the most popular attractions for families within our grounds. Our staff have been working round the clock building and installing our brand new fairy cottages around the trail and through our ancient woodlands and we can’t wait to see what our young visitors think of it. This is the most magical time of the year here as we are now at the start of our foaling season. We already have some new foals out and about in the paddocks with their mothers and they’re always great fun to watch as they explore their new world here in the Irish National Stud.”
