Plans have been lodged for 8,047 traditional burial plots. Also planned are columbarium walls to accommodate the cremated remains of deceased people.
A proposed reception building will include an office, kitchenette, maintenance shed and provision for roof solar panels.
The planned development will include a new access road to the N7 via Garter’s Lane.
Also in the plans are 110 car parking spaces with 85 overflow spaces and eight bicycle parking stands.
The proposals include the reshaping of an existing lake and a new footbridge as well as lighting and signage.
The estimated area of the proposed development is over 13 hectares.
