KILDARE: Plan to convert stables into apartments

Plans have been lodged to convert existing stables into eight apartments.

Proposed is the demolition of the existing stables and storage building at Distillery Lane in Leixlip. 

Being planned is the construction of a 3-storey building containing three one-bed apartment units.

The designs include one studio unit at ground floor level and four two-bed duplex apartment units at first and second floor.

The gross floor area of 550 square metres is in the documents. 

The development will also include balconies and terraces associated with the individual residential units and secure bicycle parking.

A total of 14 car parking spaces and two accessible car parking spaces will be provided.

Hard and soft landscaping is planned for the overall site area of approximately 866 square metres. 

The estimated construction value of the project is €1.3m, according to Building Information Ireland database.
