Kildare resident's facebook video about his sick son heading for one million 'likes'

A video published on facebook by the founder of the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation, Jonathan Irwin, is heading for one million facebook likes.

The Ballitore resident made the video to outline what he and his wife went through after their son almost died shortly after birth, with the 74-year-old using prompt cards to tell his story in a three minute piece that really tugs at your heart strings.

The video was originally published in 2012, but was re-released once again this week to generate more awareness for the charity. The background song was wrote by Athy musician Carrie Heskins, who also appeared in The Voice on RTÉ back in 2011.
