GUILTY PLEA

There has been an update in a drug-driving case previously heard in Naas District Court earlier this year.

Back in March, the court was told that Michael Kelly, of Ferrans Stud, Summerhill Road in Kilcock, had pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of cocaine at Church Street in Kilcock on February 23, 2020.

On the latest court date (Thursday, September 14), it was also heard that the 28-year-old has two previous convictions: one for a public order offence, and the other for an assault offence.

Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a one-year driving disqualification on Mr Kelly, and also fined him €500, to be paid within three months.
