Kildare Yarn Bomb getting ready for June Fest in Newbridge
Popular group has activities planned
June Fest kicks off with the return of the Kildare Yarn Bomb next weekend and a MAD AS A BOX OF FROGS theme.
“We're delighted to be back with June Fest! Hundreds of people have been involved this year, it'll be hopping!" Annie Morris, co-ordinator tells us.
KARE, schools, Women's Sheds, the Stitch and Sew group and many, many new crocheters have made frogs that will go on display from next Thursday.
A new feature this year will be a mandala masterpiece. Annie explained: “We asked people to collect a hoop and wool and make something of their own design.
“We are attaching them all together to form one beautiful canopy"
The dynamic group will also have a display in Whitewater shopping centre.
“We've crocheted a Fiat 500 and the sofa we made for the President will also be on display"
