Local Cllr calls for safety upgrade on Kildare road following traffic issues

There are calls for a safety up-grade on a Kildare road due to traffic issues in the area which includes heavy congestion as well as some drivers ignoring the right of way, according to a local Cllr.

Labour Cllr Aoife Breslin is asking Kildare County Council to "improve the safety for road users on the old N7 Road from Monasterevin to Kildare" amidst safety fears for drivers.

Cllr Breslin said that the motion is in light of the "ongoing problems with traffic ignoring the right of way." The motion will be debated before the March meeting of the Athy Municipal District which is set to take place tomorrow.
