Lone male 'was attacked by six others'
Allegation
A lone male was attacked by six others, it was alleged at Naas District Court.
Sgt Mary Meade claimed that four of the attackers fled and two remained.
Before the court was Arthur Crawford Clarke, 19, whose address was given as 1057 Nicholastown, Kilcullen.
He faces allegations of assault and violent disorder at Main Street, Kilcullen, on January 27, 2023.
The court heard the injured party had swelling to his face and head and he was disorientated and the other five people involved are juveniles.
Sgt Meade said that CCTV images showed him being attacked. He was caught in a headlock and he suffered a barrage of kicks and punches which rained down on him.
She said the defendant admitted trying to kick the defendant but denied that he connected.
Judge Desmond Zaidan refused jurisdiction, which means that the case is likely to be heard in the circuit court.
