ACCUSATION

A woman was allegedly sprayed in the face with a 'liquid irritant similar to pepperspray', according to gardaí at Naas District Court on Thursday, November 17.

Jevgenij Dudarko, with an address given as Crockaun Suncroft, The Curragh, was accused of committing the offence, which falls under assault causing harm, at Ballymany, Newbridge on May 21 last.

In addition, the 35-year-old is charged with two counts of dangerous driving — one in The Curragh, and the other in Ballymany — on the same date.

However, Mr Dudarko’s solicitor, Matthew Byrne, said that his client 'fully denies' the allegations levelled against him.

Gardaí told Judge Desmond Zaidan that the alleged injured party was a passenger in another car that was stopped in traffic.

It was heard that the alleged injured party was hospitalised, but later made a full recovery.

The judge remarked that it appeared to be 'a serious allegation of road rage.'

Judge Zaidan adjourned the case for hearing to February 16, 2023.
