Man from Naas, County Kildare, accused of assault and false imprisonment

A Naas District Court case involving a man accused of assault has been sent forward for trial.

The case concerns one Shane Behan, with an address listed as 7 Sarto Park, Naas.

A garda who was sworn in before Judge Desmond Zaidan on Thursday, June 13, served a book of evidence on the 47-year-old accused.

The court was told that on June 28 last, Mr Behan allegedly assaulted a person at his home.

It was also alleged that he falsely imprisoned the alleged injured party at his home.

Gardaí further claimed that the person sustained injuries to their head as a result of the alleged assault.

After the book of evidence was served on Mr Behan, the judge sent his case forward to the present sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court.
