Man made threat to kill if wife leaves

A man made a threat to kill his wife if she leaves him.
The woman made the claim at a Naas District Court sitting at which the man was neither present nor represented.
The woman said she decided to end the marriage and since then had agreed to start marriage counselling.
She also said the man has had a number of suicide attempts.
She said he threatened to kill her if she decides to move on.
On a recent occasion, he had been drinking for two days.
She claimed he had left horrible voice notes for her and had contacted her mother and called his wife “every name under the sun.”
She also said he had said that her life wouldn't be worth living when his family found out.
Judge Michael Ramsey granted a protection order and adjourned the matter for a fuller hearing.
