Man 'terrified' young female Garda in Newbridge

A man who is alleged to have verbally attacked a female Garda has been ordered to reappear at Naas District Court next week.
Evidence was given by a female Garda that in the early hours of the morning on March 3 this year she was patrolling with a colleague on Station Road in the town.
The Garda outlined how a man approached the patrol car and shouted in the passenger window: 'what do you want?'
When asked for his name, he provided a false one.
The Garda said that the accused repeatedly called her a 'f*cking bitch'.
When she asked him for identification, he said: 'You f**king bitch, you don't have a warrant.'
Later in the Garda station, she outlined how the accused stood up and came towards her.
She told the court that he said; "You are a f**king bitch, you will never get a good husband or a good f**k."
Defence Solicitor Timmy Kennelly argued that because no other members of the public were there at the time, the accused was not inciting anyone.
He disputed that the Garda had adequately checked that the accused was so intoxicated that he was a danger to himself and others.
Superintendent Martin Walker said: "This really is a breach of the peace. He terrified a young female Garda. He was reckless.''
Judge Desmond Zaidan adjourned the case until Thursday, July 28.
